The Eliseev Palace Accommodation
The Eliseev Palace first opened in 1997 as the Taleon Club, St. Petersburg’s premier up-scale club and casino, and which still occupies the front part of the palace, along the Moika River. The Eliseev Palace Hotel opened in May 2003 after a two-year restoration of a part of the existing space within the Taleon Club, as well as adjoining interior wings that were previously residential. The name "Eliseev" commemorates the powerful Russian merchant family who built and resided in the Palace for most of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, the Eliseev Palace is a testament to the achievements of both past and present Russia.
