Tips are not an obligatory condition and nobody should insist on it. Sometimes they are considered as a good manner (in restaurants, bars) or you may pay tips if somebody does for you something you especially like or that he should not do.
It is not a common practice, but if you buy something at street traders or catch a taxi on street, you may receive a good discount. Take in mind, that in such cases prices are usually very high. Having known regular prices, you can save much of your money. You may ask your guide or us about the regular prices.
