It is well known that sometimes police may make you troubles (they do it not only for foreigners). While in reality they help more often.

Negative tendencies that are in process in our society make easy committing a crime by the police without punishment. But take in mind that mostly all the crimes by the police do not concern the tourists. Complaining on the Police (to the same Police) is useless and you should avoid doing it.

One of the most favorite ways of getting the money by street police is checking the documents. It is difficult to say whether a person should have a passport at himself any time, but they have the right to check it. And if during the regular checking of documents you do not have a passport or other identification documents, you will have to prove that you are on legal state (and you have visa which is registered in time).

So, if you are not accompanied by a guide, only in an emergency should you make contact with the police. Otherwise, avoid them and don't establish an eye contact with them. But if you have to talk with them always be polite, always be courteous and confident in yourself. They will deserve your respect. Take in mind they are also real people and you can have an agreement with them. It is known that they mostly stop men who have some special features and manners.

Here we should note, that one of criteria that we consider during selecting the guides is their leadership ability and the ability to protect tourists in the event of a bad situation with the police. Surely, we give no guarantees they can always stop the police from doing something wrong, but we are sure, that the chances are reduced that something like this would happen when you are with one of our guides.

Also it is important to say that most of the police officers does not speak foreign language well. And the last: by the time we do not have the tourist police in the city.
